Imagine a young university professor who likes to run fast, climb mountains fast and now trying to slow down to be a good freediver! This is the story of Ali Shobeiri in a nutshell.
Ali achieved a lot of accomplishments in his life. He climbed most of the unicorn mountains (including Everest), trained as a sprinter for years and achieved a remarkable academic career. Summiting a target as fast as possible has always been his primary approach in life and he thought freediving can give him an alternative approach. Ali contacted us few weeks ago and enrolled in one of our Combo Weeks. We started with establishing a strong breath hold foundation in the first part of his training. Once the foundation was set, we slowly build up techniques of efficiency on him.
He was always ready to discover new depths and we made him so! For us the most difficult task was to slow down our sprinter but we believe we did a good job and finally created a great freediver who can dive almost to 30m. We are looking forward to see Ali Shobeiri for Level 3 freediving program soon in the future and can’t wait to see his smile coming up from record dives!
